Abstract

Recent developments in qualitative research are analyzed. Qualitative inquiry is located within an interdisciplinary and historical framework. The uses and forms of qualitative inquiry are reviewed, including those forms associated with participative, action research. Speculations on the future of interpretive, mirco-methods are offered.
