Image of a Static Current Loop over a Superconducting Sphere

Abstract

The magnetic field of a static current loop with its axis radial to a superconducting sphere can be computed by replacing the sphere by a single image loop. This image solution can be derived from the well known inversion of a point charge by an equipotential sphere.
