N2 - Teachers are agents of change, yet little is known about how computing teachers' identities motivate change and propel justice-related work. To fill this gap, we developed case studies of four experienced high school computing teachers, analyzing data from teacher interviews and workshop participation. We found that teachers related to their students through personal experiences and undertook computing course teaching and designing course pathways to broaden and deepen participation. Based on these findings, we recommend that teacher professional learning programs be designed to connect teacher identities and their role in furthering social justice within computing education.
