Abstract

We have measured the electron-proton hyperfine constant for interstitial hydrogen atoms in CaF2 in the temperature range 77-300 K. By introducing the pressure derivative at constant temperature, we are able to compute the temperature dependence of the hyperfine coupling constant at constant volume and compare it with calculations. The effects of the dynamic motion of the hydrogen atom and the lattice are discussed.
