Abstract

A systemmatic approach to siting low-level radioactive waste disposal facilities would include: 1) use of regional geologic information to locate areas of complex geology and aquifers susceptible to contamination; and 2) design of an exploratory program for characterization of geologic materials and hydrology that would minimize the number of exploratory borings.-from Authors
