Abstract

Hydraulic performance of rockfill was tested in a slope-adjustable flume. An equation was developed to describe the relationship between flow rate and hydraulic head for flow through rockfill. Flow rate was directly proportional to rock diameter and inversely proportional to the length of rockfill. Channel slope had a slight influence on the flow.
