Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate GHz bandwidth non-reciprocal light transmission using acoustic pumping of a nanophotonic circuit. Non-reciprocity is achieved through an indirect interband optical transition as a result of photoelastic perturbation caused by an acoustic wave.
