Generic power converter modeling method to support computer-aided design and synthesis

Abstract

A generic switching model is presented, that can be used for representing any type of power converter. The rules to build complex converters using simpler ones as building blocks are presented; dc-dc converters are used as examples. The use of this model as an analysis and synthesis tools is proposed.
