Abstract

Frequency domain extraction methods are increasingly popular. In regards to parameter extraction, Agrawal [1], Williams [2], and Merwe [3] presented distributed circuit parameter extraction techniques from experimental data in the frequency domain. These methods, however, required measurement on multiple length sections of the coupled line system or short-And open-circuited MTL structures. Winkel [4] developed a method to determine the propagation constant of symmetric, two-coupled lossy lines from high-frequency S-parameter measurements. Wang [5] extracted broadband multimode parameters of coupled microstrip lines using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation and signal-processing.
