Fostering intuitive minds for power system design

Abstract

The challenge of imparting an intuitive feel for study of systems is addressed. It is demonstrated how a design project can be used to provide such intuitive insight into both a basic power system operation involving power flow and contigency analysis as well as more advanced topics involving an hourly LMP power market.
