Sophie Witt is Professor of Literary Studies, Knowledge Cultures, and Interdisciplinarity at the University of Hamburg; she was Assistant Professor in Literary and Theatre Studies at the German Department of the University of Zurich, and an associate member of the Zurich-based Center of the History of Knowledge and part of its Medical Humanities Working Group. She wrote her second book on the relation of theatricality and psychosomatics with a five-year PRIMA grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation.",
