Financing Long-Term Care After Health Care Reform.

Abstract

The article focuses on the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) entitlement programs in the 2010 health care reform legislation, which provide financing to future retirees to cover costs of long-term care (LTC). The program provides cash benefits in which beneficiaries are classified by degree of impairment. Moreover, the health care reform legislation which includes LTC entitlement is convenient to all retirees regardless of health status and financial resources.
