Abstract

A fast and efficient method of solving the inhomogeneous body and the random discrete scatterer problems is proposed. Since this method requires O(N) memory storage, it can be used to solve fairly large problems with as much as 90,000 unknowns in a Sparc workstation. For random discrete scatterers, a problem with as many as 10,000 scatterers is solved.
