Abstract

Farmers need to collect, manage, communicate, and analyze many forms of data. This process presents a dynamic decision loop, ever-improving performance and learning through seasons and years of the farming enterprise. Farmers indicate that completing these decision loops by themselves is practically impossible due to lack of time and knowledge. A farmers’ network would give farmers access to the researchers who could help them navigate this process.
