Abstract

The Teaching College program has been implemented since 1995 for engineering faculty to meet and learn about the scholarship of teaching. Under this program, the Teaching College meets once a week for two hours for twenty-two weeks. The specific strategy employed by the Teaching College is a move away from the pedagogy of the classroom lecture, to the assessment and articulation of the developmental needs of the faculty member. Initial results are found to be impressive.
