Abstract
An excitation spectrum of the Kr2 5s3Σ+u (0u-, 1u) excimer is reported for 335 ≤ λ ≤ 445 nm and two dis- tinct molecular Rydberg series are observed. The most pronounced peaks are attributed to np3Πg ← 5s3Σu(1u, 0u -) (7 ≤ n ≤18) transitions. The series limit and quantum defect are 28471.9 ± 3.9 cm-1 and 2.629 ± 0.004, respectively, and several terms of the n'p3Σg+ ← 5s3Σu+ series are also tentatively identified.]1|Visiting Research Associate, 1985-1986.
