Evaluation of two dimensional variably saturated model SWMS-2D for simulating subsurface drainage

Abstract

A deterministic two-dimensional variably-saturated flow and transport model, SWMS-2D is tested for its suitability to simulate drain flows from single tile drains. A watershed scale research model under development based on the numeric model and GIS, is briefly discussed.
