Abstract

Analysis of errors in the spatial frequency domain when using optical processing systems or digital computers to perform linear filtering via the frequency domain for the determination of image spectra. Review of linear filtering using two-dimensional Fourier analysis with optical or digital system. Quantitative and subjective effects of frequency-domain errors, considering additives, multiplicative and phase noise.
