Abstract
The traditional definition of equity sensitivity?a preference for increased work rewards / reduced work inputs?is consistent with the notion of egoism, not equity sensitivity. We redefine equity sensitivity as a dispositional tendency to perceive stimuli as fair versus unfair; and we develop a Neutral Objects Fairness Orientation (NOFO) questionnaire.
