Epilogue: An Aggregate of Bursting Suns

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingForeword/postscript

Abstract

In this epilogue, Jorge Lucero tells an expedited version of the story that led to many of the collaborations in this book. Testing the pliability of the academic institution to see how much it could become an art material, used for expression and inquiry was something he did as a high school teacher coming from a studio education. Later, both in graduate school and during the beginning of his academic career, Lucero kept to his rule of only engaging with these “things” as artworks. In the end they’ve all hurled themselves into their own universes, having come from other universes to begin with. The epilogue briefly reflects on how this particular moment happened.
