Abstract
An efficient method of moment (MoM) solution of the mixed potential integral equation (MPIE) formulation for a general microstrip structure in multilayer media is presented. In this method, the spectral domain Green's functions for multilayer media are derived and then converted to the spatial domain by the discrete complex image method (DCIM), which obviates the time-consuming numerical integration of the Sommerfeld integral (SI). The Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) basis functions are employed to provide more flexibility to model the arbitrary shapes.
