Abstract

Soil respiration was measured using NaOH absorbing technique. Imidacloprid were applied to soil samples at concentration of 0, 10, 40, 100μg. g-1, its hydrolysis and photolysis products were applied at 40μg. g-1. The more significant effect at higher concentration of imidacloprid was observed. The effect of its hydrolysis product was minor than imidacloprid, but the photolysis products of 10min have stronger effect, the effect decreased greatly in 30min. Soil respiration recovered after 13 days. It showed that imidacloprid and its metabolites have little effect on soil microorganism.
