Abstract

An accurate analysis of a finline and its E plane strip discontinuity is described. The finite metallisation thickness and substrate supporting grooves are included in the present analysis. The numerical results for a bilateral finline and its E plane strip are presented, which show that the influence of the finite metallisation thickness and substrate supporting grooves is significant in the higher frequency millimetre range.
