Abstract

Over the past several years, technological advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have led to several significant developments in its widespread adoption and use. These breakthroughs in AI have introduced the world to powerful content-generation models that allow users to create everything from digital media products to writing samples instantly through simple text-based queries. As a result, interest in new AI tools has increased dramatically over the past several months. ChatGPT, a chatbot launched in November 2022 by the company OpenAI, recently set the record for the fastest-growing consumer application in history, with an estimated 100 million active users monthly a mere 4 months after it debuted.
