Abstract

Pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, an adverse effect to the site resulting from the NMRB project was mitigated through data-recovery excavations and analysis. The portion of these excavations and subsequent analysis entailing all ceramics recovered from Mississippian period features and all Mississippian period ceramics from outside feature contexts are documented in this volume and its appendices. This volume is a companion to that edited by Betzenhauser (2018), which reports all ceramics recovered from Terminal Late Woodland features and features that could be assigned no more specific a component than the Terminal Late Woodland to Mississippian span.
