Abstract
Based on the concept of multi-seismic resistant structure system, dual seismic structure system is suggested and the seismic design principle is discussed. Dual seismic structure system is composed of main structure and secondary structure. The functions of main structure and secondary structure are pointed out in seismic resistance. The single-degree-freedom dual structure model is applied to the analysis to obtain a reasonable relation of the design parameters between the main and secondary structure. Based on the results of analysis, some seismic design suggestion for dual structure system is proposed, which can also be used for hysteresis seismic control structure.
