Abstract
On February 14, 1992, a surface cyclone and associated middle tropospheric trough propagated to the southeast from Wyoming into southeastern Colorado. The intensification of the surface low pressure center to the lee of the Rocky mountains produced a strong pressure gradient across the mountains. This article presents a detailed characterization of this structure.
