Drinking water treatment by nanofiltration

Abstract

Treatment of groundwater using the membrane softening or nanofiltration process is described. Process principles, plant components, design considerations, and case studies for the production of drinking water by nanofiltration are discussed. Capital, operation and maintenance costs are estimated for nanofiltration plants.
