Abstract
This article examines workplace experiences of six senior women administrators in South African institutions of higher education. Given that women have historically been under-represented and continue to be under-represented in the higher education sector, it is important to gain insights into their experiences and to inform the process of creating institutional environments that are supportive of their professional endeavors.
