Do We Have Any Theories of Group Communication?

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

As the review by Cragan and Wright shows, small group communication is rife with theories. However, not all of these constructions have been called theories. We have models, frameworks, perspectives, hypotheses, and even a grounded theory or two. By family resemblance, they are all theories, though some bear more marks of the family than others. The real question is: Are there any good theories of group communication? We have theories, but do they need development, changing, fleshing out?.
