Abstract

We present the facile fabrication of microlaser arrays by depositing a monolayer of polystyrene microspheres onto the bottom mirror of a marginally stable plane-parallel resonator. The cavity is stabilized at individual sphere locations and spatial selection of transverse modes is achieved without complicated fabrication schemes.
