Diagonalization of translation operators for elastic wave equations

Abstract

It shows that the dyadic Green's function of elastic wave equations can be factorized in terms of vector translators. The diagonalization of translation operators for elastic wave equations is presented. This result is important in applying the fast multipole method to elastic propagation in complex media.
