Abstract

In this paper we attempt to define the requirements for a software environment in which development of applications targeted for execution in a heterogeneous hardware environment can take place. Some tools meeting these requirements have been developed at Argonne National Laboratory, and we describe their functionality. We also describe several applications that are. currently taking advantage of these tools.
