Abstract

Addition/Renovation of the Detroit Archdiocese Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, (1998‐
2001).  Design Counsel responsibilities included collaborating with Gunnar Birkerts, Cardinal Maida,
and the Cathedral Committee on the conceptual and design development phases.  The $25 million
project entails the complete renovation of the existing Cathedral interior and exterior, the addition
of a 350‐seat North Transept, and a 20,000 sq. ft. Gathering Space addition.
