N2 - Characteristic Mode Analysis (CMA)is often applied to electrically small designs. However, when studying the modal decompositions of electrically large structures with noncontiguous geometries, namely finite antenna arrays, one must adopt a new means of presenting and making use of CM data. In this work we explore some prominent differences for which one must account when studying CM data for larger designs.
