Design of a pattern null reconfigurable antenna

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The design of a pattern null reconfigurable element suitable for modern adaptive arrays is presented. Unlike existing null reconfigurable antennas, this antenna is compact and does not require a reconfigurable feed network in its operation, thus reducing its cost and complexity. The antenna performance has been characterized through both simulation and measurement and significant tilts in the pattern null are observed across the impedance bandwidth.
