Abstract

FeNiCoTi alloy exhibits high strength and high %SME depending on depending on the stress state and orientation. Tension-compression asymmetry and orientation dependence of yield stresses were clearly demonstrated. Calculations of transformation strains were presented and revealed that these class of alloys have strong potential for shape memory applications especially with further optimization of composition and heat treatments.
