Abstract

Debugging on a parallel processor is more difficult than debugging on a serial machine because errors in a parallel program may introduce nondeterminism. The approach presented to parallel debugging attempts to reduce the problem of debugging on a parallel machine to that of debugging on a serial machine by automatically detecting nondeterminism.
