Abstract

The new Agricultural Engineering Sciences Building at the University of Illinois was wired with an RS-232C compatible data communications system. All data communications were connected through a digital port selector. The port selector permitted users to have access to department PDP-11/23 computer ports and to a broadband campus wide cable network for mainframe computer access.
