Abstract

A content analysis of five rehabilitation journals from 1984 thru 1994 was conducted to determine the extent to which cultural diversity was addressed. Cultural diversity was defined based on the following categories: age, gender, language, race/ethnicity, and sexual orientation. The analysis identified the prevalence of cultural diversity articles, the definitional categories included, the most frequently published primary authors, the authors most frequently published based on gender, and the number of empirical and theoretical articles.
