Abstract
Several authors, over the last few years, have tried to highlight the impact that the human species has had on nature. The concept of Anthropocene, from this perspective, has been used in different theoretical and political contexts, to highlight specific problems related to this historical phenomenon. In my paper, I will argue that global ecological risk is closely connected, ab origine, with capitalist development. To reach this goal, I will analyze Andreas Malm’s conception of Fossil Capital, which considers the relationship between Man and Nature in a way that deserves to be analyzed from different points of view.
