Crack patterns in plates with randomly placed holes: A maximum entropy approach

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A technique for inference of fluctuations in surface energy density from multicrack patterns is presented. The technique is based on statistics of experimental data, obtained for a number of specimens, involving the inter-hole crack lengths and the total dissipated energy per specimen.
