Coupling model for 2x1 photonic crystal vertical cavity laser arrays

Abstract

We derive a theory expressing the coherence properties of 2x1 photonic crystal vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser arrays. Using only the far-field interferogram, this theory predicts the frequency splitting between the lasers in agreement with spectral measurements.
