Abstract
The cooperative diffusion constant of a semidilute polymer solution with a good solvent is studied in the framework of a generalized Kirkwood-Riseman scheme with the aid of a renormalization-group approach. The result agrees well with the recent experimental results due to Wiltzius et al. and Nemoto et al. Why the hydrodynamic screening is unimportant is also discussed.
