Abstract

A method for applying the fast Fourier transform to the convolutions arising in the internal field equations of the sinc-basis moment-method diffraction-tomography algorithm is described. Exactly equivalent results are obtained, while reducing the order of those computations from n**5 to n**3 log n for an n multiplied by n reconstruction.
