Abstract

Single-frequency, continuous wavelength tuning enabled by the novel fiber Fabry-Perot surface-emitting laser (FFP-SEL) configuration is demonstrated. Both direct and fiber waveguide mirrors show promising results. This fiber-optic technology platform should allow the generation of compact FFP-SELs at various wavelength regions.
