Constructing appropriate and useful metaevaluative frameworks. Further reflections on the ECAETC audit experience

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

This paper examines critical aspects of the ECAETC audit against the backdrop of an evaluation audit methodology discussed by Schwandt and Halpern in Linking Auditing and Metaevaluation (Sage, 1988). The concluding section of the paper reflects on the appropriateness of an audit metaphor for the activity of judging evaluation quality.
