Abstract

A new computationally viable approach is derived for computing the induced norm of a state space compression operator; that is an integral operator defined on the finite length space L2[0, h]. Determining this norm is a crucial component in the control analysis of both delay systems and sampled-data systems. The technique developed may have application to a wider variety of integral operators.
