Abstract

The viscoelastic properties of an epoxy resin during cure were analysed. The measurements of stresses and strains were taken in one direction and the modulus in other perpendicular direction was determined by assuming a time independent Poisson ratio (PR) value. The fundamental viscoelastic theory was violated by the imposition of time independent PRs in the data analysis of the given experiments.
