Combination band spectroscopy of H3+

Abstract

Using a tunable diode laser, the v1+2v22←0 and 2v1+v2←0 combination bands of H3 near 1.25 μm were observed. The bands were found to reach higher vibrational levels than any previous work. Results of this study provide a new test of rovibrational calculations.
